I am a huge football fan but I think that basketball lends itself to viewed on tv the best. Why? Because with wide screen HD cameras, they can lock in on a half court view and stick to it. With football, they still shows like 5 yards behind the butt of the RB. Which makes no sense to me; I would prefer to get 5 yards behind the LB b/c nothing happens 5 yards behind the RB.
Which brings me to the 2nd part of my post. I wish for basketball that they didn't have several angles and just panned during transition to one end and then lock in on a halfcourt view. Don't zoom in from there. Just lock in on a halfcourt view. Essentially you would be getting the view of someone at midcourt the entire game which is what people pay hundreds of dollars for.
I wouldn't mind if they also just shut up and piped in the PA and music from the arena instead of the talking heads but that is an aside....
