The Texas baseball team received letters of intent from seven recruits on Wednesday, including three of the top 75 high school prospects in the country, according to Baseball America magazine.

Those three were catcher Jonathan Walsh (No. 34) from Coppell; left-hander pitcher-first baseman Colton Cain (No. 44) from Waxahachie; and right-handed pitcher Keifer Nuncio (No. 75) from Katy.

Two Central Texas standouts also signed: Josh Urban, a right-handed pitcher from Dripping Springs, and Cohl Walla, a right-handed pitcher and outfielder from Lake Travis.

The other two signees on Wednesday were Hoby Milner, a left-handed pitcher from Fort Worth Paschal High, and Jordan Weymouth, a middle infielder from Chaparral High in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The UT article says more signings are expected. The real question is which of these guys will be in burnt orange next season?

Looks like they added a Juco pitcher, presumably capping off the fall signing class. Cowan was pretty highly thought of as a HS kid, altough he didnt pitch too much last year.

Question: Since he went to UVA out of HS, can he no longer be drafted out of San Jac as a sophomore?
