nice podcast.

now that i've healed from the loss, i gotta like the frogs too. if i had a top three it would be ucla, asu, and tcu.

i think asu has the statistical edge because they are in the much easier bracket. tcu/ucla may be the most complete teams, but inexperience at omaha can be a factor. though the fresno state, oregon state titles demonstrate its still wide open for newcomers.

TCU looking good early on against FSU.

Still a difficult pill to swallow that loss last weekend but have to pull for the Texas team in Omaha so lets go froggies.

ASU needs one more to tie us, and we already let LSU do that last year. I'm rooting for TCU or future conference member UCLA to win it all.

go froggies!

And boy did they have things go their way again, luck wise. I'm sensing a team of destiny type thing.

In the frogs last two games, their opponents are at least 0-20 with runners in scoring position. I know the frogs are pitching well, but 0-20? There's some amount of luck involved with that.

UCLA pitched their number 2 starter yesterday, but you could argue TCU did the same thing. I think TCU's 1 and 2 are a virtual tie.

Frogs beat UCLA, and its' their title to lose, imo.

TCU 1-0 now. It was an obviously bad matchup putting Texas and TCU in the same super regional. However for Texas to win a title they would have had to go through TCU regardless. Let's root for TCU to do well.

When I lived in Fort Worth I knew plenty of TCU folks who cheered for Texas so long as it wasnt a game with TCU. The frogs have a great team and it would be great for the state of Texas to have a third team in ten years win the NCAA championship.

Of course it also further sets aggy as the 4th best program behind Texas, Rice and now TCU.

FW, I'm with you on that, and I'm wondering if the overall men's athletic ranking of programs in the state should be something like this:

1. Texas
2. TCU- to me this hinges on winning at least one more game, which they will.
3. Aggy
4. Tech
5-whatever is left

Aggy's best sport is Track and Field, followed by golf?

I guess you could flip-flop aggy and tech, but look at TCU's men's sports.

BCS Bowl Game
Basketball - nothing I guess
Baseball- CWS - probably final 4.

the big 12 should have let Aggy go to SEC and plugged in TCU. would have made a better conference.

If you had told me in April that Oklahoma would win a CWS game, I would have laughed hysterically. Of course, when I saw that they were matched up against East Coast Fraud South Carolina, I figured they had a 95% chance of winning. West of Baton Rouge 3
East of Baton Rouge 0

re: rain, with Arizona St. playing tomorrow morning, I guess the rest of the games are still on schedule?

If so, that gives TCU another slight advantage over an ASU team. ASU pitching will have pitched in more recent games than TCU, so their arms will be slightly more tired.

Not huge, obviously, but every little bit helps. The guy that got 50-1, man you're looking pretty good right now.

I wish I had some of that action. Can you imagine blowing $50 bucks on that?

The Austin SR may become in many eyes the real battle for the title if the frogs mow down the field at the blatt. I think had we faced another foe in the SR we would have met the frogs anyway. Perhaps our CWS experience would have made a difference. Oh well, go frogs (my dad's school).

I was all ready to root for TCU even after watching them dog pile on the Longhorn at the Disch. They were the better team that weekend. A couple of days latter read the sports page in the Austin American Statesman only to see a full page color add for TCU with a picture of the dogpile in part of the add. That kind of changed my mind

TCU is losing to UCLA and doesn't look like the same team that played Saturday. There goes that prediction.
