Barton Creek Social Membership

I've emailed CCA through the website and left a couple of messages for the membership office at Barton Creek, and have gotten no response. Can't find the answer with google either. So I thought I'd see if anyone here knows the answer to this question.

I'm looking to get a social membership somewhere. I want somewhere close to the house that I can take the kids to swim this summer while we are building our pool. We're just west of Barton Creek, so it makes the most sense.

Anybody know how much initiation will be for a social at Barton Creek? I'm under 35, FWIW (we got a break at our old CCA club for being under 35).
 
I thought about doing Society Club (I looked into it once before when I was working out at The Hills and had the option to join), but I looked at the website the other night and it didn't show that you get swimming privileges at BC. I'm off to investigate further, though, based on your info!

Something like what you suggested would really be best. We won't use the membership for anything other than pool and dining right now, so there's really no point in even paying for a full social membership (w/ tennis, etc.), much less a golf membership (husband really only has time to play for business right now).

Anyway, thanks so much for the info. Very helpful.
 
You do not get swimming privileges at BC. I just looked into this myself. P/C is poaching!

When I was checking into memberships in 5/05, the social membership was $7,000 non-refundable initiation and $160 in monthly dues. We ended up moving away from that area, so we did not decide to join.
 
Thanks. They finally called me back and I got the same info. It's about what I expected. If we decide that we plan to do a golf membership there later on (we'll do one somewhere, just not sure where yet), we may do it since the fee is applicable to the golf initiation.
