Bars in Dallas?

I am going to Dallas next weekend for work, and I am looking for some cool spots to drink at. I know about the Greenville scene, so I am looking for something a little more laidback (i.e. no polo colllars flipped up).

Thanks

Trinity Hall is a pretty decent Irish pub. Has a good feel to it and a lot of import beer selections. I believe that they have live Irish bands on the weekend nights.

Uptown is where the action has mostly migrated. I like Knox Street and Central Park. Little more trendy, but decent atmospheres. Good eats around if you want to load up before hand.

If you like bar hopping, Greenville or uptown are your best bets.

Umm if you are looking for "laid back"...... don't follow spanky's advice.

Uptown is not laid back at all, especially a place like Central Park. A few exceptions exist, notably the Loon and Gingerman. Old Monk on Henderson is a solid choice, but I also like Cosmos (Live Oak / Skillman) and Meridian Room (Parry Ave. across from Fair Park)
