bars for bachelor party

I would start on 6th Street (college end) early to relive the youthful years (assuming your pal went to UT).......and work your way down to the adult end later in the night.

Stop by The Belmont as you move west. Then go to the so-called Market Area on W. 6th.

Specifically, Key Bar, The Ranch, J Black's, Molotov. All in same area on West 6th. All good bars. The Ranch probably the 'hottest' bar right now.

I would then catch a flight to Las Vegas or New Orleans the next morning and have a real bachelor party.
 
I don't understand why people like to go to Vegas for the send off. I mean dont get me wrong, its always a good time but you really can do better then that. Think south central america for a great bachelor party, codename "Blue Marlin".
 
A buddy of mine had his bachelor party in Austin last year. We had happy hour at El Arroyo, dinner at El Arroyo, then Lil Woodrow's, then Men's Palace (or Palazio?). We had a blast.

We had some Dos Equis girls at El Arroyo that were giving us free rounds. Can't complain.
 
Thanks for the recommendations. I haven't been to Austin in awhile and most of these guys went to LSU. I guess they are sick of the New Orleans thing.
 
sadly, the parish is closed.

hit the ranch, jblacks, union park area... agreed. the ranch is hot right now.
