What Balbay is going through is the dark side of playing for Coach Barnes. Constantly we see players get cautious after constantly getting reamed out in practice and then pulled in games after making a mistake.

The bad thing about it is that it occurs in the first place. The good thing about it is after a player works through it, they're better than they were in the first place. I have confidence Balbay will adjust, but every player learns how to adapt to Barnes' coaching style at a different pace. He's a demanding coach, with all the good and bad that comes with it. He has a rapier wit, and he knows how to use it to devastating affect. As a fan, there are times I get frustrated with the impact he has on players, but as many people know, in the end I love it, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone.
