UT will lay off 200 faculty and 250 other staff in response to the Perry/legislature cuts to UT funding and the Regents feel that it's fine to give him a $200,000 raise!

Is the athletic department part of the University or do they own the university?

2.2mil was more than enough for the recent performance of the men's team.

Comes at the WRONG time if you ask me. Three years in a row of complete underperformance in the tourney. Early exits, players leaving early, poor play down the home stretch. Yeah sounds like he really deserves 200K more. Bet we can see an increase in ticket prices to watch another one and done player/team.
