Rams came out hot; Chiefs roaring back for 17-16 lead with 6 plus minutes to go before half. Chiefs have ten penalties already!

Rams (Donald) stripped ball from Mahomes and scored with less than two minutes to go in half. Mahomes and Chiefs responded by driving 70 yards to score at the end of the half. 23 all at halftime.

Second strip sack of Mahomes by Aaron Donald early in second half. Rams take advantage of fumble, drive the field, and score. 30-23

Rams held to field goal on next drive, but then Rams' defensive end intercepts Mahomes and scores--LA up by 10 all of a sudden. Mahomes has thrown four TD passes, but has three costly turnovers.

Chiefs TD to retake lead with 2:47 to play. 51-47. They've left the Rams way too much time. Six TD passes from Mahomes. Highest scoring MNF game in history. Whichever way it ends, this has been a helluva game.

Damn Rams score with 2 min. left to retake the lead 54-51.

104 points in a game...

Mahomes still has time to rally the chiefs one last time.

They've left the Rams way too much time

And then the Rams left them too much time in return, but KC decided to try and get it in one big chunk for some reason instead of marching down the field.

Thrilling game, but not really great football to me. I don't want 54-51 games any more than I want 6-5 games. One reason the UT-USC Rose Bowl was so great is that it was top-notch defense too, it was just once-in-a-generation offense that was just slightly better. This game was more like watching an Oklahoma team scrimmage.

That was one of the best NFL games I can remember
If it had been the Super Bowl, it would have been the most exciting SB ever. But maybe I have a Big 12 bias?

As followup, I heard Herbstreit on ESPN this morning talking about how the Big 12 is the future of the NFL.

Seems like a timely recruiting tool to me.
