Even more evidence that Jerry won't lose someone over money. Both guys were looking to get paid and got it.

I was a bit worried about Barber and how it might affect his play this season. I also thought it might take more money than what he got to get it done, but I'm happy with these results all around.

No salary cap in a couple of years and the Cowboys make actually have a shot at acquiring and retaining enough talent to win a playoff game.

After this, I see why Dallas so badly needed to draft two running backs and two cornerbacks.

Dallas drafted two cornerbacks and two running backs because their two backup CBs and the only RB besides Barber that had any significant carries last season were lost to free agency.

Perhaps lost to free agency isn't the best term. They basically cut them loose with the intention of upgrading the position - which they appeared to do in the draft.
