Bar help in Dallas

I am looking to go out tonight and I am new in Dallas so I dont know where to go. I live over off 75 and Lovers so something close would be nice. I am looking for something chill but not dead. Don't wanna really want to hang out with the SMU kids or the stripped shirt dallas crowd. Good beer, good box and maybe some darts or something would be nice. Live music is okay if it is good but I dont really care either way to be honest.

Where should i go?

Milo's on Yale is cool, though there will be some SMU kids there.

Barley House across the street has its moments too.

I like Stan's and the Blarney Stone on Lower Greenville.

Lakewood has some really cool places (Lakewood Bar & Grill, Cosmos, etc.)

Adairs in Deep Ellum kicks all kinds of *** but is not that close.

Agreed. You don't get to choose music at the monk, but its better that way so some dbag doesn't go pump in $10 of quarters and play DMB's greatest hits.

I actually don't drink that much anymore, but you're right, I don't remember the last time I heard DMB, let alone on a jukebox.

Also can't remember the last time i saw it in a jukebox, but then agian, I never look for it...

i ended up at milos, i liked it, my kinda a place or so it seemed i was kinda drunk when i got there
sounds like i need to give monk a try, maybe later this week or weekend

thanks for the help gang, i will try out as many as i can

Hit up Cosmo's and Lakewood Landing one night. Next door to each other. Chill places.

Barley House is good. Just down the street from Milo's. Gets some local musician types along with the SMU crowd. Interesting mix.

With the weather getting nice, definitely hit Lee Harvey's. Best bar in Dallas, plus the best burger (according to me). It's in the Cedars (south of downtown).
