Bar Choosing Help (Nationwide)

I need to know where good bars are literally nationwide. I am in works for a nationwide tour where I would book what basically amounts to reality celebrities, etc. I have no knowledge of bar scenes outside of Houston Dallas and Austin. This is where I hope the enormous depth of Hornfans Knowledge and coverage of the United States can come in. I need to know bars that would be good places to book at literally across the United States no matter where you're at. Like the popular bar around you that would be capable of hosting a huge party and have the tools/budget to host such an event. If you guys could just give me help in telling me places you know of in any city nationwide (the bigger ones, not like Pierre, SD or anything of the sort) and it will greatly help me out. Gandorf if you read this hopefully you may be of great assistance from doing your Playboy Energy Drink tour.

I thank you, the giant wealth of information, Hornfans in advance

The Flora Bama is a great bar. It's in Orange beach, AL i believe. They have a line drawn down the bar of the AL/FL state line.

I don't know if that's a big enough city for you, though.

oh, and can i come?

edit: i forgot to mention Eric's in Aspen, CO

Sharkys. There are 2 locations. Crystal Beach and Port Aransas. I recommend both for lots of wet tshirt and related contests.

Devil's Martini - Scottsdale, AZ - Lounge-y dance spot with candy. Pretty much a cornerstone of LA-lite (scottsdale) nighlife

Rusty Spur - Scottsdale, AZ - One of the coolest country bars anywhere in the US, but its tiny. The drummer for their 3 piece country band is a Texas-Ex and they serve Shiner.

Rogue Bar - Scottsdale - Their Shake! dance party on Saturday nights are probably my favorite night ... its one of those indie-dives that have become psuedo-trendy -- but at least they've been doing it for years and years. Similar to Longbranch Inn or Side Bar.

Mickey's Hangover - Scottsdale - Kind of a kitschy bar that serves Old Style and MD 20/20 in paper bags. Staff is REALLY cool, but since its Scottsdale, mix of clientele between scene kids, douches, and candy. Really cool decor and patio.

Casey Moore's - Tempe - THE bar of tempe that gets the most eclectic crowd in the Valley. Its mostly an outdoor bar with great lounging benches and everyone always seems to be having a good time there. Good for daydrinking all the way to last call.

Merc Bar - Phoenix - Just a notch below an Ultra-lounge, stiff drinks, very low lighting, GREAT music from soul to hip hop to electronica to indie. Decent late 20's to late 30's crowd.

nextDOOR - Another outdoor bar in a converted 1950's downtown phoenix bungalow. Has good drinks like lychee-infused Vodka and the DJ spins hip hop/electronica/indie from the attic window up on the top floor of the house.

Cha Cha Lounge - Seattle - Freaking cool bar with a Mexican wrestling theme. Kinda like a divey, ultra lounge but for the scene kids in the Capitol Hill area

Shorty's - Seattle - One of the coolest bars I've been in anywhere with a pinball theme and an insane selection of local beers.

need a little more info. for example, what bars in austin would you consider ideal venues for this sort of thing, and then we can have a good model with which to make recommendations.

Pete's Bar, Neptune Beach, FL

The Link

Old school and outstanding.

Has been there forever and even found it's way into a Grisham novel.

In regards to Austin I would be able to book at Places such as Vicci, Pure, Gruv, etc. Places that can hold a lot of people and that are going to be willing to spend the money to book these guys, that would gain from it. Blind Pig would be a borderline place. They dont need to have people come in necessarily b/c the spend to revenue ratio would be close to even. Hope that helps

phil,

considering i ran the road for ggw for 3 years, left there, and started a touring/promotions company to run the playboy energy drink tour, yes, you should email me.

i've also done a bunch of stuff with reality celebrities, booked them places, all that (ggw-real world stuff). i have a database of about 2000 bars that regularly pay for promotions like these.

unfortunately, the bottom kinda fell out of the reality celeb booking market. there are just too many now, and they don't make half what they used to. it really depends on the star. some of my friends here don't do it anymore because it's not worth it.

email me details, and i can certainly try and help.
