******* great *** Italian style deli. Huge sandwiches with real capicola and procuitto like I used to get on "the Hill' in STL or in the Italian parts of NYC. They are stuffed to the hilt and have that chewy french bread that makes a true sub great.

I think it is called Hog Island or some **** like that, but it is next to the Thundercloud on Lavaca about a block north of 15th.

Oh yeah. Obee's next to the Chili Parlor is pretty ************* good as well.

****! Jersey fuckin' Mike's just fuckin' opened up on 183 by the fuckin' Home Depot, it's pretty ******* good too, ****'n-a.

went there today.

the sandwiches were pretty good. would have been nice if they had chips or something.

I've been to Obee's twice this week. It is the best value I think in regards of amount of food v quality. The substitutions are nice , potato salad instead of chips.

Also it's nice to see your meat sliced before it goes on, instead of being pulled from some sad stack of food.

Obee's in my favorite shop in Austin now. I went to Hog Island, but they were out of chips and prices were a bit extreme.

111, I agree with the fresh slicing of the meat. Jersey Mike's in the Arboretum area slices their's fresh as well. good.

GB, is this the place that was a filling station at one point? Or is that on Trinity or San Jacinto? I am confused. Thanks for the info. I may have to swing the bus on a reroute and join ya one day. I am sure the 40 passengers won't mind, they get to meet you afterall.
