Back up QBs

I wonder if we haven't seen any backup play since none of our games have been blowouts or if they are hoping to last the season so everyone can redshirt?


My only concern is that if Sam gets hurt then we have a backup without any significant time playing. I don't think Shane is going to play more than four games since I feel he is transferring after this year.


Also, I think one or both of the freshmen might see action now since they could both play four games and still redshirt.

I have always believed you stick with the starter any time the game is in question. I havent seen a game yet this year where there were opportunities to give a backup any meaningful playing time.
