You might see me, the wifey, and the brats here if'n ya look.

We might have a message for ya, too.

I wrote "Hola Horns" in big letters in the sand in the webcam shot earlier today.Prolly was legible for about 1/2 an hour. I tried to save a still from the webcam to my wife's mac, but couldn't figger this thang out.

First day, right off the plane & exhausted from travelling with a 2, 4, & 12 year old, I fell asleep in a chair right in front of and facing the cam for like an hour, kicked back with my mouth hanging wide open .

Nice.

Must sees...one for sure is the cliffside beach at Tulum. Spectacular. Beware, it closes at like 6pm, so don't dawdle. Something else we always like to do is take a day and go over on the ferry to Cozumel, rent a car or scooter, then take a trip along the road around the island, stopping to snorkel along the way, and at Mezcalitos or Bob Marley's on the east side of the island. However, you may onbly have a coupla days , and that's not so much a Playa thing as a Cozumel thing.

Tulum has a night show now. The ruins are lit up in various colored lights. Not only is it a relief from the heat and the tourists during the day, but it is really cool seeing the ruins lit up in different colored lights.

50 clicks inland from Tulum is Coba.

An absolutely huge populaton center that is still mostly covered by jungle.

Parts of it must look very similar to what Frederick Catherwood saw when touring and painting the Yucatan.
