Avoiding all sports sites (besides Hornfans)?

Anyone else avoiding all sports websites besides Hornfans since the loss? I'm not sure how long my condition will hold up...but I just can't confront espn.com, cbssportsline, si.com and the others yet.

Usually it does bother me to view those sites after a tough loss. However, I feel like we had one of the most memorable seasons that I can remember considering the expectations going into the season.

The toughest times for me visiting those sites is a loss in football. It doesn't matter when, how, or to who we loose to. It takes me days to get over that feeling.

Not at all. Diehard fans can fall victim to the misconception that the whole nation is laughing at them when they take a loss. The basic fact is, of the people who can name the final 4, very few at this point could name their last opponents.

I certainly don't have the perception that anyone is laughing at Texas, but I have avoided most sports related sites and TV just because I don't want to relive the pain of yesterday any time soon. Maybe later.

I'm the same way, whatever the sport. After a big win, I pore over every site I can find. After a painful loss, I can't even read a recap of the game.

To give it a football perspective, after a bad OU loss, I can't even look at another site (sometimes even this one) for days. After the win over USC, I returned to the hotel and watched ESPN and surfed the net for hours. Just the nature of the beast, I suppose.

For me, it's a really good gauge of how I viewed the loss or win. I had no problem coming here or elsewhere after the game, which tells me that I was disappointed by the loss, but not disgusted.

Know the feeling, but not for this loss. If we would have lost in an earlier round I would have tossed my bracket and lost interest in much of the tourney.

Its a very throw a fit, take my toys and go home attitude, but I still do it.
