i know that i'm not the only fan of that series. i just finished re-watching the final 2 hours. it was even better the 2nd time around.

amazing writing, incredible animation and great music. yea it has plot holes, but by far, it's better than any show that i've seen on network tv in a long time. the hard task was appealing to the kids while maintaining the very adult message and themes. they writers did an incredible job balancing the two.

what are your thoughts?

and for your thread shitters and i'm too cool for anything dorks, save the bandwidth and stfu. if you think it's just a kid's show, you're really don't know a thing about the show.

My ten year old son digs it, big time. He plans his evenings around watching it. Tells us we have to be quiet while its on.

My wife and I loved the show. We just watched Sozin's Comet last night.

I think that the people working on Avatar are some of the best writers in the industry. I'm sorry to see the show end, but I'm glad they're not dragging it along too far. I can see a plethora of spin-offs for this show though.

I hope the live action movies are just as good.

i do too. my only concern is that m shamalamadindong is supposedly directing them. all his movies are slow as molasses.

the score during the agni ki w/ zuko and azula was stunning. it conveyed the inherent sadness of two siblings fighting eath other to the death. there is no winner.

and i like the general message of the creators and how they used aang as the story. it was aimed towards the younger generation. i take it as, you are responsible for your own destiny. respect your elders but you are not bound to mimic their recipe for success. aang was told by everyone that he would have to kill the ozai to bring back balance. he found a new way to accomplish that. and don't get me started on the themes of power. on a whole, i immensely enjoyed the eastern philosophical themes.

i'm going to truly miss looking forward to new episodes to watch, but the series finale was beyond expectations.
