Just read your post at 5:30. Coincidentally, I happened upon Ace through a Google search this morning and had them do the work. They did a great job. Thanks
Windshields are typically replaced by auto glass companies, but windows can be replaced by any repair shop that works on that make of vehicle. The door glass comes (normally) with a metal bar across the bottom that bolts the window into place after removing the door panel.
Ask them to vacuum inside the door and under the seat if the glass was shattered, because there will be little pieces everywhere.
For future help, I'll throw a bone to Glass Doctors. They were nice and accommodating. ~$200 for a passenger door window. I didn't really shop around price wise. They were close-by and fixed it the next day.
Has there been a run of crimes lately. Mine was almost burglaraized. They had the faceplate of the consol off, and were going after my stereo, when they apparently got scared off. That and they used a crowbar and pried the window to break it, instead of just busting it with a rock. Now there is nice pry mark on my door.
