Auto AC workng weird

And the kicker is, it worked fine last week UNTIL I took my truck into the shop last Friday.

I had my automatic window switch stop working on me, and I live about 2 miles from Allen Samuels Dodge on 35 in Austin, so i just took it there.

When it was in the shop, they said that I needed a new serp belt, and considering the truck has 66,000miles on it, I said OK, $100 is a small price to pay not to throw a belt, I've been in too many older trucks/suburbans that have had that happen.

Well, after it gets out of the shop, my AC starts acting weird. It still works, and blows nice and cold, but when I am accelerating it stops blowing momentarily, and it has never done this before. I could understand the AC switching off momentarily if I was gunning it and had my RPM up at like 5000-6000, but it does it when my RPM go from 1500 to 1600. It's ridiculous.

I suspect it has something to do with the new serp belt, but I'm no expert. Is there anything I can look for?

It sounds like they caused a vacuum leak I would look for disconnected vacuum hoses or take it back and make them fix it.

blower motor...

The fact the air is cold means the compressor is working fine. Could be a pinched vacumn hose.

Could also be the swith for the fan itself, does the fans stop working only on one particular fan speed Or on all fan speeds?

What they did should not have done anything to cause this problem, but they should be willing to look over what they did just in case they had to disconnect the plug to the compressor or something and did not get it reattached well.
If your vent system doors are controlled by vacuum, they could have left a hose disconnected or poorly connected, and the vent may be closing when it shouldn't be. Maybe there is a vacuum storage tank for this system near where the work for the serpentine belt was done.
