As nice as Green Pastures or Mansion on Judges Hill but way less on cost. Spend it on the honeymoon!
They have a website and staff is very knowledgeable.
There is a place in Buda, a horse training place or something. Neve Campbell had hers there so did my friend. It was nice. Don't think it was all that expensive and it was nice to get out of Austin. They rented a bus to take people out there.
We did the Barr Mansion back in October 1998 and it was great. That was before they even added the indoor place which I hear is very nice. The day of our wedding was the huge flood, rained 11 inches that day. The staff was great putting up tents and keeping everything dry as possible. It's been 6 1/2 years, so probably most of the staff has changed, but my wife and I thought it was great.
We had our wedding at the Lakeway Inn last May and it was extremely reasonable pricewise and everything was beautiful. I'll be happy to answer any specific questions. The Link
I am actually having my wedding at the University Christian Center next April. We looked at Barr Mansion and it was nice, but for an early spring wedding, there was no foliage. It looked real barren. The place was nice for the most part. The house seemed kinda creepy in a way, however. The dude that showed us around was very helpful. The indoor reception area is nice as well, but we need a big dancing area for our guests. Long story short, we are using the Alumni Center for our reception.
You can check outThe Link for some good info. Congrats.
My boyfriend's boss got married at Villa Antonia. We are also going to look here (if he ever proposes). I also have Vintage Villas on my list. We are wanting something open & airy with a nice view.
