On Sunday March 3rd ( yes I know TID is March 2nd), we are having a family-friendly celebration at Scholz Garten (17th & San Jac) in their back patio. Kids 15 & under are free and we'll have face painters and balloon artists. For the adults we have live music from Lucas Cook and COMPLIMENTARY beer.
The event has grown each year and is very popular with folks wanting to do something other than the Zilker parking-nightmare for Kite Fest. The event is from 2pm-5pm
You don’t have to be a Longhorn fan to attend this event, its a State of Texas celebration, not a UT celebration although if you hate burnt orange you might not have that much fun).
The idea of this event is to break even, but any additional funds are put towards UT Scholarships for Austin students going to UT.
Tickets are currently $17 for Texas-Ex Members and $19 for non-members. On the day of, tickets will be $20 each regardless if a member or not. So get your tickets early and have some fun.
