Austin this weekend

Me and some friends are headin out to Austin this weekend from Houston. Most of my buds arnt really into Austin/UT but they want me to convince them that Austin is the best city in the world. So i was lookin for some suggestions (food, water activities, late-night stuff, UT stuff) (we are all 18). Thanks in advance.

water: go float the guadelupe in new braunfels. link, go out to hamilton pool/barton springs (if its open), rent some kayaks on town lake.

food: magnolia for late night food (open all night - south congress), huts (6th) for hamburgers, hula hut for the lake and scenery. polvos on south 1st is good mexican. there are a ton of other recommendations on around austin forum.

night: there isnt going to be **** to do at night if yall arent 21. go to mount bonell, hit up peterpan golf (do they check ids if you bring beer?), dart bowl.

rush events are ongoing, you should try and do that.

4th/6th are pretty useless these days unless you are of age. i live there, and it wasnt fun being 20 a few years ago. you could always walk around for an hour or so, and take in the 6th st vibe.
