FAMILY FRIENDLY - BRING THE KIDS!!!

KIDS 12 & UNDER FREE

Official Texas Exes Proclamation since 1900:
"Whenever two Texas Exes shall meet on March 2, they all shall sit and break bread and pay tribute to the institution that made their education possible."

Join your fellow Texas Exes members and help pay tribute to the great State of Texas and your beloved University of Texas for a Texas-sized, Texas Independence Day Party on Sunday, March 4 from 2-5pm at Scholz Garten! This is one of our two biggest annual events; annually held on or around March 2 celebrating the Independence of Texas (March 2, 1836).

This family friendly party includes balloon entertainment/artist for the kids, Texas Spirits face painters for the family, UT Cheerleaders, the Hook'em mascot, and a silent auction. We will also have "toe-tapping feel good" live music from Lucas Cook all in the outdoor patio at Scholz Garten.

We will also have complimentary beer
and we shouldn't be running out this year.

We had a great turnout last year with over 200 Texas Exes. Check out pictures here.

All proceeds go to the Texas Exes Austin Chapter Scholarship Fund to create scholarships for Austin area high school students to attend The University of Texas for years to come.

Ticket Price:
* Online Discounted Tickets: $12 for Texas Exes members

If you can, please tell us how many kids you will be bringing in the notes section

This was a huge success last year. Its basically set up so that if you are recently out of school, its a cheap, great time. Or if you have kids and looking to do something after the Kite festival, you can stop by and relax.

We purposely design TID to be inexpensive, and any funds that exceed the costs to put it on are used to help fund scholarships for Austin students to go to UT.

come out and have a great time!

Forget about Kite Fest. The crowds & traffic & parking are out of control... Skip Kite Fest and take the kids to the TID! Looks like there will be coloring table for the kids, free ice cream, UT Cheerleaders, Hook'em, Face Painters AND a balloon guy for the kids.

And for the adults? Live music from Lucas Cook, COMPLIMENTARY BEER, silent auction, light appetizers and a great time.

And ALL proceeds go to Scholarships!

Online Discounted ticket sales end at 5pm CST today.

No home baseball game to worry about, no men's basketball game on Sunday... come on, man!
