Austin Priceline!

DAMN! I was bored during my lunch break and decided to play with Priceline. I bid on a 3 star and above hotel room in downtown Austin, $79 for Friday and Saturday...it came back approved! I really hadn't planned on going but I am now.

Anyway, it's the Radisson Hotel and Suites Austin-Townlake. Anyone know anything about the hotel? Is it walking distance to the stadium? Was this a good deal? Help!

It is at the corner of Brazos and Cesar Chavez on the river. It's between the 4 Seasons/98 San Jacinto Center complex and the Congress Ave bridge.

It isn't within walking distance of the stadium unless you are ambitious. It is within walking distance of the warehouse district and everything downtown.

I have no idea what their usual rates are so can't tell if you got a good deal or not.

I just pricelined the SFA for friday and saturday at $175/night. Not bad, since Kayak.com had it for $369/night.

I NEVER forego priceline when booking austin hotel rooms.

I have gotten the Driskell for $80.00 before. A non-game weekend though.

Great. Kayak had my hotel for $239 so I guess it was a good deal.

Wow... I've never bid over $110 on Priceline... $175??? Daaaaang!

My son has gotten the Hilton & Hyatt for $55-$65 numerous times in the last several years.
