What are the nicer public courses in Austin, how is Forest Creek in Round Rock?

Roy Kaizer is awesome for a public course. The guys in the clubhouse can be pricks though. Someone needs to remind them that they work for a public course, they are not PGA tour players.

Forest Creek is outstanding.

Lago Vista (Highland Lakes) is a great public course. I've played forest creek and it is good too, but Lago Vista is sitting right on lake travis. Great views, fun holes, and a friendly staff. I'd play there over forest creek any day.

I think the consensus was that Crystal Falls and Jimmy Clay are the two best golf experiences in or around Austin.

I'm kidding.

Does the verbalization of the noun "golf" bother the HELL out of anyone else? You do not go "golfing". You go play golf. Effen A, that drives me mad.
