Where's a good place around Austin to listen to some country music and do a little 2-stepping? We haven't done this in a while, but it would be a fun way to spend a Friday night, I just don't know where to go.

I love the Spoke, but it can get damn crowded, which makes it hard to dance. Coupland is good. I've haven't been yet, but I've heard Uhland is nice, as well.

Donn's Depot can be pretty good.

I second Donn's. It's not as traditional as the rest, but I have 2-stepped there many a time.

strictly from a "drinking establishment" POV, donn's is greatness. the spoke blows. they cut me off there one time when i went to order my first drink of the night. the ***** bartender told all the others not to serve me too. no explanation.

Club 21 in Uhland has a great dance floor and if I remember correctly cheap beer, though the location demands a designated driver.
