Austin City Limits taping

Anyone know the best way to get tickets for a taping? ANd are there ever tickets that people are selling anywhere?

1. know someone with season tickets
2. win them through kgsr and austincitylimits.org
3. wait in line the day of the taping - call the acl hotline for taping information. tapings during acl fest are crowded with members, vip's and industry folk, it is harder to get in this way for bigger tapings.
4. sneak in - i could tell you but then i'd have to kill you.

I happen to know of an amazing event coming up there that I would kill a small kitten and 3 large dogs to get into. But I don't have the $50,000 or whatever it is to get a season ticket and they don't take animal sacrifice.

Deal's big enough that they may do an overflow to Hog. I so hope it happens.

I know a couple who volunteered as line monitors/ticket takers.

They retired last year, but I was passed in by them to about 25 tapings over a decade.

Usually they let me bring another person or two with me.

Saw some great shows.

Good times.

I worked on the crew of ACL from 86 thru 90. Back then, a lot of people would be admitted the day of the shoot. Since then, they've given the seats to the big donors.

I got mine through the band's myspace page - they had a quiz/drawing and I won a pair.

It ruled.
