Its not that big of a surprise. Brad has always said that he wants to end his career close to home. It was either San Diego or one of the LA's. He will be a good backup and a great teacher for the team, much like he was here in Houston.

Agreed. He wasn't in the Astros plans and has said for some time he wanted to go back to CA and retire from some team there. I'm glad for him - one of the really good guys.

I can respect his reasons for leaving, but it still sucks that he's leaving the Astros.
