Cost us a shot to extend it at the end of the TT game.
Hurt us in the K-state game.
Almost cost us the Baylor game.

He was clutch last year in these situations. Even the commentators said during the K State game that they had initially thought it was fatigue in the Baylor game, but he didn't have a reason to be too tired in the K State game.

So what happened to Mr. Clutch? He's great during the game, but is it in his head at the end?

well we actually got about the best chance after he missed that FT that we could hope for in that situation. i just wish lewis noticed there was still 3.5 seconds left when he shot it. looked like if he stays calm(i know that's tough to say in that situation) that he could have noticed mason wide open on the other wing. but he did get a wide open look after the pump fake so i wasn't upset with the shot selection.

jsut wish we would've ******* doubled voshkul in the final 30 seconds to let ANYONE ELSE shoot free throws.

Were you watching the same game as me? He single handedly kept us in the game and the "air ball" was not from his hands

If he reads this thread he will surely not go to the pros next year if he is considering it. Good post.

Lets face it. Even if we tied the game, we'd be going into overtime with James gone and Abrams gone. Connor was basically a no show today and had 4 fouls.

We probably lose in OT anyway.

I never said he cost us the game nor did I discount his performance throughout.

I said he cost us a shot to extend it. The thread is about his poor FT shooting at many of our games, not just this one. Don't make it more than what the initial topic is about. Thank you.

I'm with you LA ~ his FT shooting at the end of games has not been up to snuff. that's not to take away anything from what he has accomplished this year.

also, FWIW, I'm thinking the preferred strategy at that point in the game is to make the first and then intentionally miss the 2nd and look for a put-back.

JD Lewis passing to Justin Mason for a 3? you gotta be kidding me. 3 PT shooting is about the only thing JD has going for him. he wouldn't have gotten a schollie otherwise.

it's too bad that last sequence went like that, but we really didn't have any business making it that close anyways.

**** happens on the road in conference play. every year, every team, every conference. tech shot better than they usually do and we weren't making some shots we usually do make. the only thing discouraging to me was our effort on D. and Atchley needs to quit getting in foul trouble in every game. that really hurts us. when he plays well, we play well.
