not really a bad loss.

one run, fairly solid performance all the way around.

mid week losses happen every year.

that's not to excuse last weekend, because that was horrific.

...and, yes, Big Bird should probably be moved to the pen.

UTA is 120th in RPI. That is a really bad loss -- no two ways about it. They are nowhere near the same level as UTSA (76th) or Texas State (88th).

For the record I believe we also lost to UTA in 2006, so I don't think this was the first loss.

this team has spent way too much time talking about things getting better - it is not - this team doesn't have it - in fact they are not representing this historic program with very much pride - if they were, they would be backing up their talk with their play - a pitcher was one of our guest at our texas exes function and it was alarming how unconcerned about their field play at the time saying it will get better that it is not where you start , but where you finish - well i think we see where we will finish this year - it is a shame - we are talented - no understanding of gut-check

glad you guys pointed that out about the 06 loss. i was going by texassports.com that had augie 17-0 vs. uta.

What can you say? This team could still finish very well, but the losses sure are mounting up. Must...maintain...focusness.

Heck, it was about this time of year in 2002 that we lost to Southwest Texas State. We went on to win the National Championship.

Having said that, the loss isn't a blip like some of those previous ones have been. This team is definitely struggling.

there's not a magic pill to fix this team. they are just a bad team.
