Gene Chizik is putting together a nice recruiting class at Auburn. After all the uproar from his hiring he has come in hired some good coaches and now has some nice players to hit the ground running. I am thinking he beats the 2 SEC wins from last year and probably is around .500.

I want chizik to do well, and i hope he gives saban a run for his giant pile of
mercenary money. i would rather he not do it with Texas kids, however.

i agree with you there, but I'd rather see those kids go to aggy, baylor, tcu,
or tech than anywhere out of state.

He has put together an impressive staff, and they're recruited their asses off. People have moved from being irate to being cautiously optimistic.

I'll bet that some of those clowns who were expressing such strong disdain about Chizik's hiring are wishing they had kept their mouths shut now. Better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
