Best highlight ever on the USC-OSU game:

"Miss State trying to get back into it and (insert qb name) throws an interception....."

"Woody" Hayes definitely has a woody right now. It's probably sticking up so far its pushing the lid to his coffin open.

How must it feel as a D to hold the other team to a FG, score a saftety yourself, and lose? Talk about some resentment toward the O!

Keep in mind that same State team lost to La. Tech a few weeks ago.

The SEC is home to some horrible offenses. I watched a little bit of the Georgia/South Carolina game and the Georgia offense was good but far from great and they're supposed to be tops in the SEC.

If the final score of Texas vs. Oklahoma St (arguably two similarly ranked teams if not better) was 3-2, the national media would undoubtedly crucify the Big 12. Reading the espn/AP article on the game, the slant focuses on Tuberville's commitment to defense. If you saw the game...hell, if you saw the box score, you'd know how delusional people can be.

This is potentially the best defense of the Tuberville era (which is saying a lot), and I love low scoring defensive slugfests, but last night was painful even for me. I frequently have Auburn football related dreams (earlier this week I dreamed we struggled to beat UT-Martin 48-41), so I hoped I'd wake up and find that last night was one of those. Alas, 'twas not to be. The spread looked like the caricature of all the reasons I've always opposed it over the years.

The only solace is that Tuberville is at his best with his back against the wall, so I think he pulls a W out of his *** vs. LSU.

I've been looking at that #8 by our name in the polls and thinking no way we should be ranked that high. Thinking it had more to do with ECU knocking off someone ahead of us and the TEXAS on our jersey. Then I watched some teams ranked around us this weekend.

Maybe we are still too high, but this SEC crap has to end. Kansas and/or Tech would have put up 40-50 on SCar and/or Miss St. UGA should continue to drop and Auburn should join them.

I have a friend who has family that went to Mississippi State. He is a UT student, but he still keeps up with the bulldogs. I have known him for sometime and have watched a some MSU games the past couple of years. Believe me, this is the BEST offense I have seen under sylvester croom. Its not so much about the Auburn D as it is about the MSU O. If you look at MSU's success last year, they scored multiple defensive tds in almost every game. I must admit that having been forced to watch this inept offense over the years is worse than anything in gitmo.

It's about Steve's and Joe's not X's & O's.

Auburn's offensive players just aren't very good. They weren't very good last year, either.

If you mean that they executed poorly last night, no one can disagree with that. If you mean that they're not very talented, well, it would make sense that you post on Hornfans.
