Att: W. Muschamp-OU to run.....

In the last two weeks of sportscasts, I have been hearing on radio and television that Sam Bradford and OU offense has been working heavily on the "no huddle" offensive scheme in their practices. Reasons stated were the obvious such as keeping defenses off balance and unable to focus on any one aspect of their attack. Also to keep pressure off Bradford in the pocket as he will be working with new wide receivers and the absence of Malcolm Kelly. There is debate about whether or not DeMarco Murray will be able to handle the bulk of the running game which is similar to discussions that took place with Jammal Charles and our offense a year or so ago.

You gotta wonder if they are prepping the "hook and ladder" and the "statue of liberty" to spring it against their tougher competition this season, if needed?

The old saying is " whats good for the goose is good for the gander" and after four bowl losses in a row, the other saying might be " if you can't beat them, join them".

In any case, the Texas defense must be ready for any and all that might be thrown at them.

I respect your opinion slugga so I'm curious as to what you disagree with in tht article.
It seemed to make sense to me but I'll defer to your better judgment on the issue over a sports writer.

Wow. Hpslugga returns. And on tax day no less. Speaking of returns, did you finish your taxes? I have an uncle from Dallas, Taxes. That was SINCE73, not that other OU guy "notreally".

ba-okla-Horn - thanks for the intell on what the Sorry ******** are up to there in the former Indian Territory. Stoops figures he is getting beat by the Boise States & West Virginnys of the world so he better try some new stuff to get the sooner mojo going again. Nothing wrong with that... no huddle will probably work pretty well for them.... in the meantime, keep an eye on them boys.

Ah look at all the Okie Sooners!

DeMarco Murray, picks up the ball in the backfield where a AD has been
Lives in a dream
Waits by Sam Bradford, practicing fakes cause he knows that they'll throw more and more
Who is it for?

Where do they all belong?

Coacher Bob Stoopsie drawing the plays for the games that no one will fear
No one comes near.
Look at him working. Watching the films in the night when there's nobody there
No one will care?

Where do they all belong?

DeMarco Murray ran for no gain and was buried along with his name
Nobody came
Coacher Bob Stoopsie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the scene
No one was clean.

Well, that certainly didn't disappoint.

Thanks for the insight.
After you see OU run it a few games, if you don't mind, give it a breakdown & if it's any different than what Wilson ran at NW & if it's as effective as it was back then or should now be.

Hope nobody tries that sneakiest of all trick plays, the much-feared playus actionus passus, more commonly known as "Oh-****-we-overplayed-the-run-and-someone-who's-last-name-is-Griffen-is-getting-assburned-deep."

Isn't the point of "no huddle" to not allow the other team the time to put the right personnel out on the field? if so, why would the number of plays in a game matter? if they line up as soon as they can, the other team can't switch players... and they can take as long as they want to snap the ball...
