Everything I've heard about the deal states that DirecTV will still control its programming, and whether AT&T has LHN on UVerse has nothing to do with DirecTV's program choices.

So you're assuming, it seems, that DirecTV's control of its own programming means they have already elected not to carry the LHN. Am I reading you correctly?

Well, they obviously can pick up LHN whenever they want. But AT&T UVerse having LHN doesn't affect DirecTV.

DTV will do whatever AT&T says. Anything said between now and the time the merger is completed has to be taken with a grain of salt.

DTV is telling all of their employees there will be no job losses. There will be job losses mostly to legal, finance and marketing types - just the way it is.
