Posted by NodakSt on the Duke board. Texas is not on this preseason top 25. That's to be expected. Horns will be on some and not on others. Only three Big 12 teams in the top 25, including soon to be in the SEC A&M. I think I would have put O. Sims of Baylor on one of the two AA teams, though.

I have some MAJOR issues with this list. I can deal with the fact that Texas isn't on it. But not with georgia, oral Roberts, gonzaga being there ahead of them. And miami and lousiville being top 5 teams?!? No way

No credibility because Texas is not on this Top 25 poll? Please...

This should give our Horns extra motivation to appear in the polls rather than be given a silver spoon in the mouth! Texas under Goestenkors haven't proved their placement and it's time to stop the attitude of "entitlement."

Let's earn the ranking and hence the respect!

I'm cool with us not being on the poll. Time to get it done. Beat Baylor, OU, A&M & whoever else and earn our way back onto the polls. Nothing to it but to do it!!

I am sooooo ready for WCBB! And I'm ticked that the Longhorn channel is not on DirecTV. Arrrgghh!?!?!?
 
Again, so quickly to bash GG and her program and not so quick to actually read what was posted! My qualms were more so about who was on the list rather than Texas not being on it. There is no way that any "knowledgeable" wbb fan can defend this list in it's entirety. Oral Roberts?!? Knock it off. And lousiville and Miami in the top 5??? Miami isnt even in the top 3 of their own conference!!
 
All I read was that the poll had no credibility; the poster didn't say it was because Texas wasn't on it. That's more a statement about who created the list rather than who is or isn't ranked.
 
Where in my post did I say anything about Texas not being in the Top 25 as a reason this poll has no credibility? A little less caffeine might do you some good. Do you really think Oral Roberts is a Top 25 team? They wouldn't win a game in the Big 12. Silly poll. No credibility. Next.
 
Sour grapes does not help the Horns. Admit it, Texas doesn't deserve Top 25 status until those average 7-9, 10-6, 8-8 and 7-9 seasons are past this program.
 
Actually, UTExinPDX, that is Coach G's record but it goes this way, 7-9, 8-8, 10-6, 7-9. seattle just likes to rearrange the numbers to make things look worse to fit his half empty glass outlook. & I believe that, if Cokie hadn't missed the season and Tiff hadn't broken her shooting wrist, the team would have equaled at least the 10-6 record from the previous season and won at least the first NCAA game. Tiff's injury really hurt as it took away an offensive weapon that could have made up some of scoring that Cokie would have supplied.
 
Jody's Big XII record was 7-9 in 2005-06 and then 6-10 in 2006-07. Just trying to let Seattle know that the trend was started before Coach G arrived.
 
No matter how you spin it, babhorn, Goestenkors still is overpaid and over her head. It is her fault for her teams having no depth when Cokie was injured.

Thanks for the reminder on Coach Conradt's final two seasons. At least she can claim a NC unlike Goestenkors who were waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting to show the promise she was supposed to bring to Texas.
