Great Britain beating the Americans. Nigeria won bronze.

None will appear in the Beijing Finals. The American's ****** up the stick pass on the final leg and dropped it in their semi.

The Brits failed to make the exchange in the final leg zone and were DQ'd in their semi.

Usain will run the final leg for the Jamaican gold medal tomorrow night - if they don't drop the stick. They had some ****** exchanges tonight. It's tricky.

The American women made the same drop on the same leg in their semi's in Beijing. Like they did in Athens.

But this is the first time the Americans will not appear in the Summer finals, women or men. Ever.

Tricky? How hard is it to give someone a frickin' stick? These are the real glamor events of the Olympics, and we can't pass a baton from one person to another?
Ugh. What a debacle. Our track team has serious issues, don't know what the are exactly.

Our women's team did the same thing in this event. This is terrible and no excuse because they should be trained enough to not make these silly mistakes. Getting beat is one thing but beating yourself is much worse.

There's really no excuse for it. These athletes have been passing the stick since 7th grade. They look like they're doing it for the first time out there.

On a brighter note, our 4x400 men's team may be able to drop the sick and still win.

I'm just talking out my *** here, but I'm guessing they barely ever did any training together for the passing. I bet they ran through it a couple times when they go to the games, thought to themslves, "Hey we've been doing this forever" and then forgot about it to worry about themselves and their own events. Sure it's easy in theory to pass, but they never train with each other, and different people have different heights, speeds, hand positions, etc. They just looked straight up bad to me, and the only thing I can come up with is that they didn't bother to practice it.
