The album by Cheap Trick that changed my life will be played in its entirety live tonite by the original members (sans the drummer who is sick) .

"At Budokan" was recorded live in Tokyo in 1978 and is basically responsible for the rock and roll cliche "we're huge in japan". The band was largely unknown in their hometown until then.
It's raw, high energy, 70's pop rock that you can enjoy with out compromising your indie hipster sensibility.

Stream the performance live atThe Link Its a late starting show (10:30 Central time)

****.... I misunderstood the link. AXS TV is a cable channel available only on ATT uverse and dish. NO streaming , sorry

Still, great album. It did not change my life but it sure made it more fun at times. I still like to listen to it even though two songs are way overplayed on the radio. You know it's a solid album when that happens.

I think the record is a testament to the fact that the producer on a studio album can have a huge impact on the songs (negative in this case). The studio versions of all the songs on Budokan are dull and lifeless. I wouldnt have given "in color" or "heaven tonight" a second spin if those had been my first cheap trick albums
