true, huge upgrade offensively for the position compared to years past but what's up with the stros signing guys after they're off the juice and on the downside of their career. let's sign em' when they're 225 lbs, not 190 lbs.

Pudge is a career 300 hitter with an on-base % of 340 so obviously, you are misinformed.

And guided Josh Beckett to World Series MVP just a few seasons ago.

This is a brilliant move that has lots of cheap upside potential. is that what you meant to say?

Make no mistake about it guys - the only thing this did was take em from an absolute laughingstock to simply a bad team.

Only means they'll win 67 games instead of 62. Nothing more.
