Aston's salary revealed -- $600k

The salary is in line with what I predicted. Coach A is getting at least 2x her base salary at UNT, coupled with incentives based on performance. Coupled with extension language in the contract, I have no doubt UT would increase her salary if she earns it. This is how it should have been rather than setting 1.06 (or 1.25) million dollar salary per year with the last coach.Again, an elite salary for an elite coach should result in elite results. No one can argue that.

Good job CP.

A little highe than it should be but does this mean ticket prices coming down then too? We've paid good money to see crap on the court the last many years hopefully the give is a break until wee actually start to see some results.

$15? Mine worked out to less than $9 per game, unless my memory is way off about what I paid last season. I thought pretty much all the seats in the lower level were the same price. I'm in either row 2 or 3 depending on how you count them, (There is no row 1), pretty much right by the UT bench. I've just sat there for years so I probably wouldn't know if some cost more.

I guess it is a matter of perspective. I've always thought of those seats as a bargain for the price. And, I've certainly always wanted to win more games but I have always thought the entertainment value was pretty high given the cost. There isn't much I can do outside my own home for less.

I've said before....I don't care about the salary. The job is the job. The expectations don't change from one coach to another. I think accepting the expatations and pressure at a place like Texas justifies a healthy salary. But, if the salary was $2 my expectations would be the same as if it was $2M.

well her base is in the 300's She can only get to 600k with success. So I think im ok with the pay and incentive system. Hell when she takes us to the top of the b12 and elite 8 or final 4 jump her to a million
