Assualt on toilet paper

I go on mission trips to build houses in the colonias just outside Reynosa, Mexico. One of the camps we stay at in Mexico has an American-style septic system, where we can flush waste and toilet paper, but the other doesn't. We we stayed there, we were expressly told we MUST NOT flush toilet paper -- put it in the trash.

It turned out to be not as bad as I expected. I would wrap my soiled TP pretty well in additional TP, and I think that's what everybody else did, too, because the bathrooms at the camp did not stink bad at all. Plus the staff there was really good about taking out the garbage reguarly, but there were times that the bathroom trash cans were pretty full. Yet there was not an odor problem.

Still and all, I ain't ready to go green in the bathroom just yet!

I guess one could use a shower comb.

This is basically the old cloth wipe system for adults. Of course then you had a diaper service that would come pick them up and bring you fresh ones. You didn't need to wash them yourself.

With that said, doing laundry in a house of 5 with 4 males is bad enough. I can't imagine my wife or I being willing to wash ****-stained cloths in addition to the rest of the underwear.

I'd certainly get less toilet clogs though.

pass ! Charmin is my friend and those flushable wipes.

I do enough laundry thanks and think about the smell between washes?
