I've posted several articles on AI in various forums. There is so much happening with AI right now. Some exciting, some terrifying. I wanted to start this thread as a discussion of all thing AI.

At the end of the day, as with anything, it'll never be as bad as you think and it will never be as good as you think......

Artificial intelligence? I thought this was going to be another aggy thread cuz they certainly don't have real intelligence!

Turns out, it's not. :)

The fact that the 10 commandants asker said don't make the list religious makes it a stupid exercise because a) the 10 commandants are rooted in religion, b) lots of people today are religious, even if less than in past centuries, and c) religion always meddles in what human behavior should be.

Google asked around 80,000 of its employees to test its still-unreleased Bard AI chatbot before it released it to the public last month, Bloomberg reports.

And the reviews, as it turns out, were absolutely scathing. The AI was a "pathological liar," one worker concluded, according to screenshots obtained by Bloomberg. Another tester called it out for being "cringe-worthy." A different employee was even told potentially life-threatening advice on how to land a plane or go scuba diving.

In a February note, which was seen by nearly 7,000 workers, another employee called Bard 'worse than useless: please do not launch."

In April 2023, NewsGuard identified 49 websites spanning seven languages — Chinese, Czech, English, French, Portuguese, Tagalog, and Thai — that appear to be entirely or mostly generated by artificial intelligence language models designed to mimic human communication — here in the form of what appear to be typical news websites.

In short, as numerous and more powerful AI tools have been unveiled and made available to the public in recent months, concerns that they could be used to conjure up entire news organizations — once the subject of speculation by media scholars — have now become a reality.

And still does.
From what I am reading the bad is outweighing the good.
If Hinton Musk etc are sounding the alarm we should pay attention
