Artie Lange just got a DUI

I'm afraid I don't know who Artie Lange is.

artie is a Howard Stern sidekick.

He's had a long battle with substance abuse, and was allegedly clean for some time now.

Artie had been appearing on multiple radio shows and the Joe Buck Show premiere, where he caused a commotion over calling Joe Buck gay. He obviously was fiending attention and getting a DWI is just the cherry on top of the cake.

We can all assume we wont hear much more from him for awhile.

Lange seems to think that he can cure his addiction by going cold turkey and maybe seeing a shrink once or twice. His past history of abuse suggest he needs much more help.

It would hurt his career in the short term, but he needs to spend a few months away from his work. Its not like he doesn't have the money to do so.

Sadly, what is handicapping Artie Lange's career aren't his drinking habits or too-ugly-for-radio looks, but his utter lack of talent.

Update. Artie claims that he got in a minor accident in his rental car (the Sentra). The cops came and asked him to do a FST, which he failed. He then blew a 0.0 on the breathalizer, and submitted urine. He say's he was sober.
