Due to assigning specific sections to individual schools to help teachers and their helpers keep their groups together, the University is asking that season ticket holders take seats in the sections 20, 21, 34 & 35. Seating in these sections will be on a first come, first seated arrangement for season ticket holders similar to the exhibition game. Parking will not be affected. We can still park in lot 108.
The Intercollegiate Athletics Dept. send out a letter informing all season tickets holders of this.
This game is designated as part of the first Texas Women's Basketball Forty Acres Field Trip for Central Texas fourth, fifth and sixth graders. They will receive free tickets with each school attending being assigned sections to seat in. Over five thousand students will be in attendance for the 11 AM tipoff.
I looked up the sections where they are requesting season ticket holders to seat. While I think my seats are better, for a good cause, this is a reasonable request, imo. Sections 20 & 21 appear to be behind the Horns’ bench while sections 34 & 35 are midcourt across from the team benches. Check out this link for the seating diagram.
Per the press release about this on Oct.20., the FEC will open at 9:30am for the students and, I am assuming, all others. But you know what they say about assumptions.
Hope you make it and get a chance to get a different view of the game with different seats. I hope to hear what the Texas coaches talk to the players since I usually only hear the opposing coaches talking.
