so i was all gung ho about booking this vacation to B.A. and Mendoza.

however, my hemispheric ignorance has led me to the conclusion that the weather may not be ideal vacation weather.

am i right? My only option now is to hit up some warm beach resort. i ant a GOOD all inclusive.

any thoughts? we do riviera maya a lot. maybe some place different would be nice.

1) Last year there were a few fall days in May and then a cold front hit on May 26th and stayed for 3 months. It got down to 32F for 3 straight days in late May. Supposedly BsAs only get about 1-3 days of 32F a year and they are usually in July.

It should be nice fall weather by May. And I hope that mosquitos are gone by then. They're not that bad this year, but they exist. Especially near the parks. Last year it was literally like a plague. I prbably killed close to a 1,000.

2) Mendoza never has a beach, so the "beach weather" wouldn't apply.
.
3) May in Mendoza should be like late October/ early November in Colorado. Pleasant days with cool/cold, crisp nights.

I just got an email from a guy who lives there, and he said that it's currently harvest season. I think that this lasts about a month or so. But it won't be cold enough to go skiing yet if you were considering hitting the slopes in the area.

My keyboard is messed up so I'll type what I can (period doesn"t work) - we've been twice on trips in May - weather was nice although a bit cool - some nights down into the 40s in BsAs - mostly sunny weather and comfortable days, though - definitely need to bring a coat for cooler days - My guess is that Mendoza would be colder and might be like Bariloche was last May - rainy - Don't expect beach weather in May or you'll be disappointed

Try August if you can. That is our favorite time of year in BA.
It is routinely in the 60's and a nice change of pace from the Texas heat of August.
