Are we getting younger?

Or am I getting older? I just went over to a website based on our longhaired mascot for the first time in a couple of years and was surprised that it seems to be inhabited by mostly junior high kids. Has that board devolved to that extent? The postings had many juvenile animated gifs, lots of knee-jerk reactions and most comments seem to be based on trying to act "cool."

Granted, I am in my fifties and no longer get very excited about topics I've seen posted thousands of times, but I've been browsing sports boards since the mid-90s and I have never seen such a circle jerk from Longhorns fans. What accounts for this trend towards nonsense?

Is Hornsfans one of the few semi-rational Longhorn boards left? Geez, the start of the season was depressing enough.

I've tried it but can't stand that board. Some foul language is ok to me, but it seems like they vomit cursing over there. That and there's no substance to anything.

I don't think it's age. I'm in my 20s and I feel about the same as Dogbert.
