Are Gohmert and Bachman on this?

While reading Ted Cruz's impressive biography, I note that his dad was an anti-Batista activist in Cuba and actually joined up with Castro for a while.

ARe Louie Gohmert and Michele Mad Eyes Bachman looking into this?

If Ted's dad was hanging in the Sierras with Che and Fidel, is it not possible his communist ties have been assumed by his son? Could Ted Cruz be a Red Agent in the top echelon of our government?

This, frankly, has me very concerned and I am wondering if our resident bedwetters are on the case.

History has repeated itself, this is very similar to the ever so popular Arab Spring in Egypt. Sometimes it is better to work with what you know vs. what you don't.

As a demographic group, Cubans seem to have a better handle on what freedom is all about because they have first or second hand knowledge of what it feels like when you are stripped of your freedom. Sadly many people that have been in the U.S. for more than a generation or two seem to forget how precious freedom is and they give it away so easily in the name of building a better society. I just got back from Russia and it sounds all too familiar.

Actually, before he seized power, Fidel made noises about democracy and fooled a lot of people. Che was an ardent commie from the gitgo; the non commies around Fidel just assumed Fidel wasn't and would control Che. Didn't work out that way.

I don't believe for a minute that Cruz's dad was a commie; I was ridiculing Gohmert and Bachman for their recent escapade in tarring muslims in the US government.

What do you figure the chances are that Clinton's aide wasn't checked out carefully by the FBI before she got to work for the Secretary of State? Gohmert, the Aggie Sphinx, had to know that, having been a government employee in the defense department for a while after graduating from Gohmer High in Bryan.

My apologies to our about to be Senator and his dad if anybody thought I was actually suggesting his dad was a red.

Seriously, a lot of freedom-loving people followed Castro the Revolutionary. After he seized power, Castro was less interested in idealism than he was about holding power. After the Revolution he de-facto exiled Che. (the line was he was "exporting revolution," but the fact was he shipped out his only potentially strong rival. He surprised many in the US with his profession of Communism and embrace of the old Soviet Union.

The Aide's entire family is part of the Muslem Brotherhood, it is worth asking the question, do you not think so?

Do you need some education on the Muslem Brotherhood and what they stand for?

My OP was a satirical use of rhetorical hyperbole and I mistakenly thought any literate and sane person would recognize it as such. My apologies to those who didn't as well as to the Cruz family.

I had over 5,000 posts at Texags before I finally just gave up due to the overall lack of people who understood ambiguity, irony and hyperbole.

Fair enough, but I might suggest you work put a bit more thought into it when you have an urge to use terms such as "resident bedwetters".

Then why did you use a celebration emotcon?

It was like you made a point and scored some points.

Maybe the smilie face emotcon would have clued us into your sacrcasm meter.

We really know you weren't being that way, you believed it until you got called on it, what joke liberals are......

By the way bragging about your 5000 posts on TexasAgs proves what?

Believed what until I got called on it? That Cruz's dad was a red? Are you serious?

The celebration emoticon I have used on a number of occasions to suggest delirium.

Let's go over it again for the really slow bedwetters: I know Cruz's dad was not a red. I was ridiculing Aggie Gohmert and Michelle Mad Eyes for their stupid muslim baiting; anybody with a brain knows you don't get a job in the federal bureaucracy that high without a thorough backgrond check, which was what they were calling for.

As for the Texags reference, I wasn't "bragging." I was merely pointing out that their politics forum has degenerated severely over the years and suggesting this one has too. Formerly there was a lot of pretty intelligent discussion on both; the Aggie board used to get a lot of feedback from active duty and retired military that was real well informed. Then the ideologues and fantasists got involved and now both are often a total waste of time. Thanks for proving the point.

You don't like this forum because you keep getting caught in lies and ********?

Oh I was joking bedwetter, did you not see the celebration emoticon?

Your contribution level to anything is nil if anything, bedwettter!!! What a jack....

Major: can I turn to you to tell me exactly where I lied?

I made a joke about Gohmert and Mad Michelle. It was not to your taste. Ok, I don't like many of your posts either. Then I spun a totally bs extrapolation about Cruz's dad being ideologically in bed with Fidel and Che, two notorious murderers from Cuba. The senior was a Cuban patriot who tried to overthrow the tyrant who ran Cuba for us. He misjudged Castro. Lots of people did.

Have you ever read Dean Swift's A Modest Proposal? Did you think he was actually proposing they eat Irish children?

My OP was a satire; not as witty as Swift's but that it was a satire should have been obvious.
