Arcade game in a garage

so my wife says I can buy a Golden Tee full-size arcade and put it in the garage when we move into our new house... does anyone know how well these things would hold up in that environment?? Houston is hot and humid and I'm not sure if the garage is enough protection from the weather for an arcade game...

any ideas?

I'm in Austin and had several games in my garage for a few years, and they held up OK, but I wouldn't advise long-term storage of any arcade game you value in a garage. The summer temps could be brutal to the game. Best bet is to do whatever it takes for your wife to let you bring it inside the house.

thanks for the info.... sounds like good news...

I've got a perfect spot in my garage for it.. it is sort of inset on the side, so it would be completely out of the way... and I think insulating the garage door would probably help.. good suggestion...
now I've got to find space for a fridge in there also... then it'll be Golden Tee and beer whenever I want without disturbing the mrs...

as for cost... I've found some home edition cabinets with 25" monitors for about $2300 for the 2005 edition... it's about $3000 to have the 27" tournament style ones you see in bars.. only they don't come with coin collectors etc..

grinder..
interesting... but they don't do any auctions in Houston.. I'd hate to drive to Dallas and for them not to have what I want, or for someone to outbid the prices I've already found...
