pretty damn tasty, but that place is a health department scare. I don't ever want to know what is wrong with that place.

tropheus - I hear you. I did a search on KXAN and the week of 8/29/2002, Ararat scored an 87. Not bad.

4/20/2002 wasn't so kind - 56. Ouch!!

Its not as 'cool', but the food at Alborz on Anderson Lane and Mopac is a LOT better. Their lunch buffet is my favorite buffet in austin. Especially with their stews. Not to mention, more than once, the owner of Ararat has been in there to eat.
