Apt suggestions - Dallas

Anyone have a suggestion for a good complex off/near 75 and south of 635? Uptdown is as low as I'd go, and not north of 635.

Single guy, 35, looking for a decent place to live and trying to keep it under $1,000 a month.

The Village. For a single guy, that's the perfect place to live. It's actually a grouping of 14 different complexes, but all in the same area. The pool is a hopping place with its own bar.

Since I just recently moved, I have toured most in the area.

I prefer the midtown area (as they are trying to call it these days). There are a few that meet your criteria.

The village began some new developments. They are nice. Younger crowd. Lots of ethnicity in the area. The Phoenix on Mockingird. I think you can get a small loft at Mockingbird Station. There are a couple of nice properties right on 75 and Forest (next to medical city). Older crowd, mostly young professionals (hospital close). Forgot the name, but I like the ones right behind Parkit Market on University. Totally forget the name, but they are cool.

If you are willing to go to Uptown there are about 1000 properties that are new and under, or right at, 1K a month.

there's some cool apts on Henderson east of Central, past The Porch etc, and an elementary school. Lots going on down there.

Hook'em!!!

I asked this board a little over a year the same question and settled here at the Village. I'm 35, single professional, have a home office. Very conveniently located to my business meetings which are mostly downtown. I haven't had any issues here at the Village- I hope I didn't jinx myself by saying that

. They also have a lot of amenities which arent included at other complexes. I just renewed my lease for other year.

It has been a while, but Ilived in the Village for 6 years. I liked the location and Lincoln properties seems to do a good job of keeping things in a good state of repair. I know that they have totally rebuilt a few of the complexes there recently. You may want to check out the surrounding area a little, I know that it seems to have declined a little since I lived over there.
