And it looks like you might not have done your homework either. ESPN Insider has J-Mike ranked higher according to another post. Maybe if Tellus had a better attitude he would've been a better TE than a whipping boy.
We wanted Bennett. He really was that good coming out of high school. He just made the decisions that he did (to go aggy) and ended up where he did, and in the process missed out on a really tight football family, a National Championship, and an opportunity to be groomed at Tight End U. Now, it might just take a little longer to get what he wants. Best wishes to him.
I dunno. Looks like a bunch of orange-tinted posts on this one.
I'd take Bennett over Finley. He's taller, faster, and is more of a west coast offense threat than Jermichael ever seemed to be.
Finley's biggest plays came on mismatches against college linebackers who didn't pick him up in the middle of the field. That's not going to happen in the NFL. Bennett, on the other hand, showed that he could run the drags and outs, block, and overall play sound assignment football. Yeah, he's got a mouth, but few NFL tight ends are quiet.
Where does the bad attitude stuff come from? Dude always seemed like a fun kid to me. I like his game too - never realized potential, but that's a TON of TEs in CFB, including JMike.
